"Smooth sailing" es una expresión que se utiliza para indicar que algo progresa sin problemas ni dificultades. En el ámbito del inglés de negocios, se usa para situaciones o proyectos que avanzan de manera fluida y sin contratiempos.

Aunque la expresión se originó en el siglo XIX, aún es comúnmente utilizada en el inglés contemporáneo. Una expresión similar es “plain sailing”.
